Duration: 6 Weeks, February 12th, 2018-March 19th, 2019
Time: Every Tuesday night, from 7pm-9pm.
Cost: $55.00 per person, or $100.00 for Couples (couples share a book). Includes a book, all instructional material, membership to the LCBA and State Organization for 1yr.
Purpose:
Give you all the basics to understand how to keep honeybees, the different types of honeybees, equipment, honey harvesting, how to legally sell honey, dealing with pests and diseases, history of beekeeping, and more.
You also have the additional option of taking a written test and field day to get a certificate, certifying you as having passed the state requirements as a beginner level beekeeper. This will be important if you later decided to become a journeyman or master beekeeper.
